TTIP will weaken European Food Standards

Specialities like Parma Cheese or Speck from Tirol are until now protected and can only be produced in their Region. If the TTIP trade agreement will happen these can possibly also be produced in he USA.

The USA are pushing to allow genetically modified food and meat from hormone treated animals (both now forbidden in the EU) into the European market.
